Twila Hird
Head Coach - Learn to Skate, Figure Skating, Power SkatingTwila has over 15 years of coaching experience at clubs in Saskatchewan, Edmonton, and Calgary. She is NCCP Level I certified. Twila competed on the provincial level and was a member of Team Sask for 3 years. Twila has been with the CCA Figure Skating Club since 2013.
Kristy Ng
Coach - Learn to Skate, Figure SkatingKristy has 8 years of coaching experience at clubs in Calgary, Blackie, and Black Diamond. She is NCCP Regional Coach certified and has been skating since age 3 with 12 years of competitive skating experience. Kristy joined the CCA Figure Skating Club in 2019.
Morgan Elliott
Coach - Learn to Skate, Figure Skating, Power SkatingMorgan has over 25 years of coaching figure skating and power skating experience in Ontario, Vancouver, and Calgary. She’s an achieved gold level skater and certified Skate Canada Regional, CanSkate, and CanPowerskate coach, as well as Special Olympics trained coach. She still competes as a member of the Calgary Synchronized Skating Club - Black Gold. Morgan Joined the CCA Figure Skating Club in 2023.
Olivia Poulsom
Coach - Learn to Skate, Figure SkatingOlivia began skating in 2004, skated a few years right here at the CCA Figure Skating Club, and has gone on to skate both competitively and recreationally with several clubs in Calgary. Olivia is NCCP Beginner certified and has experience coaching figure skating, hockey, and power skating. Olivia has been with the CCA Figure Skating Club since 2016.

Darrell Palagaian
Coach - Learn to Skate, Figure SkatingDarrell has many years of coaching experience at competitive and non-competitive clubs and especially enjoys instructing persons of all ages in their passion to learn to skate. Darrell competed up to the national level and spent 18 years skating with the Disney on Ice program, eventually progressing to be the Performance Director for one of the shows. Darrell joined the CCA Figure Skating Club in 2022.

Danita McCormick
Head Coach - Daytime (Pre-School & Hockey Buddies)Danita brings over 30 years of coaching experience and coaches provincial champion skaters at clubs across Calgary. She is NCCP Intermediate Level III Coach certified.
Sherry Patram
Coach - Pre-SchoolSherry has been teaching kids and adults to skate for over ten years. As a mom, and a playschool teacher, she is passionate about teaching kids and making skating fun. Sherry competed as a singles skater; then returned to skating as an adult, competing in synchro. Sherry has been with the CCA Figure Skating Club since 2021.
Darren Low
Coach - Hockey BuddiesWith a lifelong love of team sports and decades of experience playing competitive hockey and baseball, Darren is passionate about sports development. As a father of two hockey-loving children, Darren has been volunteering on ice since 2021 with Girls Hockey Calgary and more recently with the NHL/NHLPA First Shift. Darren joined the Hockey Buddies program in 2023.
