Program Description:
The Figure Skating programs are non-competitive, badge level programs which provides a rewarding experience for all skaters. At the end of the season, the skaters in the two figure skating classes come together to perform in a skate show.
 
The Figure Skating Beginner program runs Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30-6:30pm. Attendance is required for both days. 
 
This program focuses on general skating skills with an emphasis on strength and control. The skills learned in this program will help your child succeed in figure skating, hockey, ringette, or other ice sports. This program is for children ages 5 and up. Beginner skaters are welcome, but previous lessons are encouraged. There is a maximum 1:10 coach to skater ratio which ensures your child gets the best instruction possible!
 
The cost is $400 for 40 lessons, each one hour in length. In addition, a volunteer cheque of $100, post dated for March 10, 2019 is required. Volunteer cheques will only be cashed in the event that the family does not meet their volunteer commitment for the season. Please note that you must hand in your volunteer cheque before your child will be allowed on the ice.
 
Skaters are required to wear a helmet in this class. Please see our Equipment Checklist for more information.

Program Description:

This program focuses on figure skating skills. Skaters advance to this level upon completion of the Intro to Figure Skating program. Skaters with experience from another club or program are welcome. Please contact us to discuss class requirements. There is a maximum 1:8 coach to skater ratio which ensures your child gets the best instruction possible!
 
The cost is $495 for 40 lessons, each one hour in length. In addition, a volunteer cheque of $100, post dated for March 10, 2019 is required. Volunteer cheques will only be cashed in the event that the family does not meet their volunteer commitment for the season. Please note that you must hand in your volunteer cheque before your child will be allowed on the ice.

The Learn to Skate program teaches skaters the fundamentals of skating in a fun-filled atmosphere. This program is for children ages 3-5. There are three class times to choose from, all being of equal skill levels. There is a separate fall and winter session for this program, each requires separate registration and payment. This is a non-parented class. Parents will not be permitted on the ice. 

Learn to Skate Session 1 runs Wednesday afternoons, 1:30-2:00pm. There is a maximum 1:10 coach to skater ratio to ensure your child gets the best instruction possible!

The cost is $125 for 10 lessons, each 30 minutes in length. 

Skaters are required to wear a helmet in this class.

Program Description:

The hockey buddies programs have restricted registration. Please register for the waitlist and we will contact you to confirm your child has the necessary skills to participate in this program. This is not a learn to skate program, the skaters must already have basic skating skills. Questions? Please contact us for more information. 

Please note that for anyone interested in our Hockey Buddies program we will have one skating session at the end of September which is manditory in order for your child to receive a spot in the program.  During this first skate we will asses all of the children to see if they are ready for Hockey Buddies or if they need to be moved over to our Learn to Skate Program.  In this session the kids will NOT be wearing hockey equipment.  The will wear skates, helmet and normal ski gloves only.

Hockey Buddies Beginner classes focus on skating and introductory hockey skills development through fun drills, games, and scrimmages. 

This program is for children ages 4-5, and runs Wednesdays from 1:30-2:15pm. There is a separate fall and winter session for this program, each requires separate registration and payment. 

The cost is $160 for 10 lessons, each 45 minutes in length. This class offers a maximum 1:10 coach to skater ratio to ensure your child gets the best instruction possible!

Skaters must be able to get up from the ice with full equipment, have experience with forward skating (not walking) with 2 foot glides and snow plow stops.  Completion of the Learn to Skate program or equivalent skill level required.

Full hockey equipment is required: hockey skates, mouth guard, CSA approved helmet and full face mask, stick, gloves, neck guard, shoulder pads, shin and elbow pads, hockey pants, any colour hockey jersey, hockey socks, water bottle (labelled with child's name). 

*Note to Parents - it is very important that your son/daughter can already skate and get up from the ice in full equipment without assistance.  If the requirements are not met, your child may be moved to our Learn to Skate program for a session. Parents are not allowed on the ice to help due to insurance reasons.

Skaters must be able to execute forward skating and gliding, forward 2-foot stops, and backward skating.  The skater must have completed the Hockey Buddies Beginner program (or equivalent skill level). Current participation in another hockey program is recommended. 

Full hockey equipment is required: hockey skates, mouth guard, CSA approved helmet and full face mask, stick, gloves, neck guard, shoulder pads, shin and elbow pads, hockey pants, any colour hockey jersey, hockey socks, water bottle (labelled with child's name).

Program Description:

Power Skating is a skating program designed for hockey and ringette players focusing on power, control, and strength. The skaters work through our new power skating level badges which will perfect their skating skills while in an atmosphere of confidence and encouragement. The group will not participate in the club skate show. Skaters should be able to execute forward stride skating and some backward skating. Completion of the Learn to Skate or Hockey Buddies program is encouraged. This is a non-equipment class. Dress in comfortable athletic wear.

This program runs Thursday afternoons 3:45-4:30pm. The cost is $300 for 20 lessons, each forty-five minutes in length. 

Skaters are required to wear a helmet in this class.
