Our full-year Figure Skating programs and our fall Hockey Buddies and Learn to Skate programs are closed for registration. 

Registration for winter Hockey Buddies and Learn to Skate programs will open on December 3, 2018. Winter classes will begin on January 9, 2019. 

 

If our system detects more than 30 minutes of inactivity in your browser, your registration spots will no longer be reserved and you will need to begin again.

Learn to Skate Winter Session 2

Program Description:

The Learn to Skate program teaches skaters the fundamentals of skating in a fun-filled atmosphere. This program is for children ages 3-5. There are three class times to choose from, all being of equal skill levels. There is a separate fall and winter session for this program, each requires separate registration and payment. This is a non-parented class. Parents will not be permitted on the ice. 

Learn to Skate Session 2 runs Wednesday afternoons, 2:00-2:30pm. There is a maximum 1:10 coach to skater ratio to ensure your child gets the best instruction possible!

The cost is $125 for 10 lessons, each 30 minutes in length. 

Skaters are required to wear a helmet in this class.

Program Description:

The hockey buddies programs have restricted registration. Please register for the waitlist and we will contact you to confirm your child has the necessary skills to participate in this program. This is not a learn to skate program, the skaters must already have basic skating skills. Questions? Please contact us for more information. 

Please note that for anyone interested in our Hockey Buddies program we will have one skating session at the end of September which is manditory in order for your child to receive a spot in the program.  During this first skate we will asses all of the children to see if they are ready for Advanced Hockey Buddies, Beginner Hockey Buddies or if they need to be moved over to our Learn to Skate Program.  In this session the kids will NOT be wearing hockey equipment.  The will wear skates, helmet and normal ski gloves only.

Hockey Buddies Advanced classes focus on skating and enhanced hockey skill development through drills, games, and scrimmages. 

This program is for children ages 4-5, and runs Wednesdays from 2:15-3:00pm. There is a separate fall and winter session for this program, each requires separate registration and payment. 

The cost is $160 for 10 lessons, each 45 minutes in length. This class offers a maximum 1:10 coach to skater ratio to ensure your child gets the best instruction possible!

Skaters must be able to execute forward skating and gliding, forward 2-foot stops, and backward skating.  The skater must have completed the Hockey Buddies Beginner program (or equivalent skill level). Current participation in another hockey program is recommended. 

Full hockey equipment is required: hockey skates, mouth guard, CSA approved helmet and full face mask, stick, gloves, neck guard, shoulder pads, shin and elbow pads, hockey pants, any colour hockey jersey, hockey socks, water bottle (labelled with child's name).
