Assumption of Risk and Waivers

 

Registration in all CCA Figure Skating Club programs require acceptance of the Assumption of Risk, Waiver of Liability, and Media Release, below.

1. Acknowledgement of Inherent Risk

By registering, I acknowledge that participation in ice skating and related activities is voluntary and involves inherent risks. These include, but are not limited to:

• Physical injury or accidents.
• Exposure to infectious diseases (including COVID-19).
• Property damage or loss.

I freely accept and fully assume all such risks, dangers, and hazards. I have considered these risks and trust that the CCA Figure Skating Club will take reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of all participants.

2. Waiver of Liability & Indemnity

In consideration of my child’s participation, I agree to the following:

• Release: I release the CCA Figure Skating Club, its officers, directors, volunteers, and coaches from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action resulting from personal injury, illness, loss of life, or property damage, even if caused by negligence or breach of contract.
• Indemnity: I agree to indemnify and defend the Club and its representatives against any costs, expenses, or losses arising from my child’s participation.
• No Claims: I undertake not to take any legal proceedings against the Club or its representatives regarding the activities contemplated in this registration.

3. Media Release

I hereby grant the CCA Figure Skating Club permission to photograph, film, or record the registrant during training, events, and club activities.

• Usage: These recordings may be used for advertising, marketing, and promotional purposes in perpetuity.
• Compensation: I understand that these images/recordings will be used without financial compensation.
