Learn to Skate

The next step to better skating!

Our Learn to Skate program is designed to teach the essential fundamentals of skating in a rewarding, non-competitive atmosphere. This program focuses on developing general skating skills that apply to any ice sport, setting a fantastic foundation for skaters interested in hockey, figure skating, or just recreational skating.

We put a particular emphasis on:

  • Balance & Control: Improving stability and precise movement on the ice.
  • Strength & Technique: Developing the power needed for a confident stride.

Who Should Join?
This program is open to skaters age 5 and up. Skaters must turn 5 before the program begins. It welcomes participants of all levels who are ready to build or enhance their foundational skills. No prior experience is needed, however, skaters should be able to stand on skates on their own with no assistance.

View our Program Guide for more information on other CCA programs.
