At the Calgary Centennial Arenas (CCA) Figure Skating Club, we trade high-pressure competition for high-energy fun. Here is a snapshot of what your skater’s season will look like:

• A Supportive Group Environment: Our lessons are taught in a group format, fostering a social and collaborative atmosphere where skaters build confidence alongside their peers.
• Progress You Can See: We follow a structured Badge Level Progression system. Skaters move through clear milestones, celebrating every new skill mastered: from those first shaky glides to confident spins and jumps.
• Expert Guidance: Every session is led by qualified, professional coaches who specialize in making technical skills accessible and enjoyable for children and teens.
• The "Fun-First" Philosophy: While we take skill-building seriously, we take fun even more seriously. Expect upbeat music, themed days, and a coaching style that celebrates effort over perfection.

The Grand Finale: Our Annual Skate Show

The highlight of every season is our Themed Skate Show! Every skater in the Learn to Skate, Intro to Figure Skating, and Figure Skating programs are invited to participate, wearing vibrant costumes and performing choreographed numbers for family and friends. It’s an afternoon of fun and celebration that gives our skaters a chance to shine under the spotlight, show off their new skills, and share the spirit of the club with the whole community.

Interested in joining us as a new member? Follow this handy 3-step path to joining the CCA Figure Skating Club:

Step 1: Check your skater’s age/skill level to ensure you are registering for the correct program for their level. (Link to Program Guide).

Step 2: Create an account in advance (Link to Registration page) so you're ready to go when registration opens.

Step 3: Set a reminder for May 1st at 8:00 AM. Our programs fill up quickly! If the program you are interested in is full, sign up for the waitlist to be notified when a spot becomes available.

All of our lessons take place in the Gold Arena at the Flames Community Arenas.
