CCA Figure Skating Club Programs

Click on the program name for more information on that program, its skill focus and requirements. All lessons take place at the Flames Community Arenas in the Gold Arenas.

Half-Year Programs

These 10-week programs require a separate registration for the Fall (October to December) and Winter (January to March) sessions. 

Learn to Skate

For children aged 3 to 5 who have little to no skating experience. Wednesdays 1:30-2:00, 2:00-2:30, or 2:30-3:00.

Hockey Buddies

For children aged 4 to 5 who have experience in skating lessons and want to learn introductory hockey skills. Wednesdays 1:30-2:15 or 2:15-3:00.

Full-Year Programs

These 20-week programs run for the full year (October to March) with a break at Christmas. New registrants are not permitted mid-way through the program.

Power Skating

For hockey and/or ringette skaters aged 5 and up who have experience in skating lessons and want to refine their skating skills. Thursdays 3:45-4:30.

Advanced Learn to Skate/Intro to Figure Skating

Focusing on general skating skills and introducing some basic figure skating skills, for skaters aged 5 and up. Twice weekly: Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30-6:30.

Figure Skating

Focusing on figure skating skills for skaters who have completed our Intro to Figure Skating program or who have figure skating experience from another club. Twice weekly: Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30-5:30.
