Equipment Checklist - Hockey Buddies

Important: This is a full-equipment program. To ensure your child gets the most out of their ice time, please ensure they are able to get up from the ice independently while wearing their full gear.

1. Mandatory Safety Gear

• Helmet: Must be a CSA-certified hockey helmet with a full face cage.
• Neck Guard: Required for all participants.
• Mouth Guard: Highly recommended for additional protection.

2. Full Body Protection

• Shoulder Pads & Elbow Pads
• Hockey or Ringette Pants
• Shin Pads & Hockey Socks
• Athletic Supporter
• Hockey or Ringette Gloves

3. On-Ice Essentials

• Skates: Properly fitted hockey skates (sharpened before the first session).
• Stick: A hockey or ringette stick (cut to the appropriate height - usually to the nose when in shoes, or the chin when in skates).
• Water Bottle: Please ensure it is labeled clearly with your child's name and filled only with water.
